Over 200 local Vietnam veterans, their guests, and members of the public attended a panel discussion titled "The Vietnam War: What It Means for Us Today" held on Saturday, February 10 at the Rancho Campana High School Performing Arts Center in Camarillo.  Congresswoman Julia Brownley, Allison Maginot, representing the office of State Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson, and Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin also attended the event.  Master of Ceremonies was retired Navy Captain Paul Grossgold.

The program consisted of a one-hour discussion moderated by KVTA radio host Lyn Fairly, followed by an audience Q&A session.  Panelists included: Captain Charlie Plumb, USNR, (Ret.), former six-year Prisoner of War in Vietnam; Larry Hawley, local Vietnam combat veteran; Janet Richards, Vietnam veteran and former U.S. Army Lt. Nurse; and P. Scott Corbett, PhD, CSU Channel Islands History Lecturer.  Panel participants were available for conversation during the refreshment period after the panel discussion.
