Ventura County Board of Supervisors
.  On November 19, 2019, the Agricultural Commissioner presented a report to the Ventura County Board of Supervisors regarding hemp cultivation in Ventura County.

Camarillo Planning Commission.  On December 17, 2019, at 7:30 p.m., the City of Camarillo Planning Commission conducted a public hearing in the City Hall Council Chambers, 601 Carmen Drive, Camarillo, to consider an ordinance that adds Chapter 19.57 to the Camarillo Municipal Code, which addresses the prohibition of industrial hemp cultivation within the City, and whether or not to recommend its approval to the City Council. Camarillo City Council. 
The City Council considered the recommended Hemp Cultivation Ordinance during a public hearing on January 8, 2020.

On January 8th, the Camarillo City Council voted 3-2 (Mulchay and Santangelo dissenting) to introduce an ordinance to amend the Camarillo Municipal Code to add land use regulations prohibiting the cultivation of hemp within City limits. The second reading of the Ordinance passed on January 29, 2020 (3-2 vote, Mulchay and Santangelo dissenting), and the Ordinance will take effect 30 days after the decision on February 28, 2020.

Ventura County Board of Supervisors. On January 14, 2020, the Board of Supervisors considered adoption of an Interim Urgency Ordinance to temporarily prohibit the outdoor planting of hemp in specified portions of the unincorporated area of Ventura County. The presentation was made by Ventura County Counsel. Here is the link to the Board of Supervisors webpage, where you can find the agenda, staff report, and video of the meeting.
