Coastal Cleanup Day

The 34th Anniversary of California Coastal/Inland Waterways Cleanup Day is Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

CCD Mission Oaks 9-16-17j
During last year's Cleanup, volunteers were up 21% from 2016 with a  total of 3,293 volunteers in attendance who removed over 13,000 pounds of trash and recyclables from 34 miles of Ventura County beaches and inland waterways.  In Camarillo, 230 volunteers collected 638 pounds of debris from two sites - the barranca off Mission Oaks Park, and Calleguas Creek at Paseo Del Campo and Creekside.  Come join us this year to keep Camarillo and Ventura County's waterways free of debris!

Camarillo is sponsoring two sites
1. Natural barranca off Mission Oaks Park - Meet on the east side of the tennis courts.
2. Calleguas Creek - Meet at the intersection of Creekside Rd. and Paseo Del Campo.

Please fill out the waiver (below) prior to coming to the event.  All volunteers must sign this waiver.  If you are under 18 you must have a legal guardian sign the waiver.  Please note the terrain is not suitable for children under the age of 5 or strollers.  Remember to wear sturdy shoes, a hat, long pants, sleeved shirts, heavy gloves and sunscreen!
